Reports for friendly against Blackheath & Greenwich and Home Counties League game against Sussex:-
We played a very competitive side at Blackheath & Greenwich which was played in very good spirit on both sides
with the boys beating B & G 122 shots to 108, only the second time we have won since the fixture was first arranged.
The boys impressed Mick and the selection committee. Well done boys, a great win.
13 June found us playing against Sussex at Marden. The green, when we arrived, was being well prepared by Marden's
Greenkeeper, a factor we believe helped Kent on their winning way with a 14-0 whitewash of Sussex. Both teams having
suffered with dropouts thoughout the week and having to use boys from the friendly rinks to make up numbers. The friendly
rink did not fair as well as the HCL side but the game was played in the spirit we have seen in many a game and was enjoyed
by all.
